well, I didn't watch the SciFi channel special about the Crystal Skulls afterall. An hour earlier another show started on the History channel about Indiana Jones and archaeology presented in the movies - how realistic is the movie series, real archaeology then and now, etc. It was so good that I didn't want to change the channel over to SciFi!!! So it sounds like I picked the better 2 hr. special. I really enjoyed it. They actually covered all 3 movies and some of the artifacts, different museums, the illegal trade of artifacts worldwide, etc. Very good show. And all the current archaeologists on the show said that the Indiana Jones character was very true to his time and how recovery of artifacts occured during the WWII timeframe.

Another fact brought out by that History Channel show was that the 2nd largest illegal trade worldwide is artifact sales/smugging (first is drug trade). I knew it was bad, but not that bad. They discussed that the new "hot" area is the plundering of sites and museums in the Middle East.
