The hole in the wall dive is my favorite dive. I love it and the smiles on the divers faces say it all, every time!

You definitely have to go faster than normal if you want to hit every cave and swim through, which few divemasters know....

Usual dive time to do the whole dive is 60 minutes with a max depth of 130ft, yep its advanced.

Also a fantastic TRIMIX dive when you get to see "the amphitheater"

I usually do this dive as two separate dives, many people have two different names for the profiles you can do on it.

    Will,

That's a pretty close haircut I saw you with this afternoon.

I only did one dive today at 1PM. We went in at Canyon reef, did several nice swim through tunnels, a beautiful long drift on the wall at about 60 feet, and finished up at hole in the wall. Really superb with lots of sunshine to light things up. The island is anticipating some windy weather that may arrive as early as tonight. Consequently, the staff at Coconut Tree moved the boats around to the other side of the island after the last dive of the day.

This has been a great thread. Please post when you can. Since I can't get back to Roatan until NEXT March ('10) I'll go vicariously on the thread. What's the exchange rate dollars to limpiras?

And too windy to dive today?

A few years ago, I did half a week of dives in the pouring rain in Belize in late January. Each morning our dive was called by the op due to rough seas and we came back to check every couple of hours until the weather cooperated. We got our one or two dives in per day for the first few days while it rained most of the day. We didn't love being on the boat in the rain or the low viz in the close dive sites, but we weren't sure we would get in very many dives otherwise. The second half of the week was gorgeous, hot and sunny, and we got all our dives in, including our big ones.

Hope the weather holds out for you for the remainder of your holiday!

I think the exchange rate had been pretty constant of 19 lemps to one dollar.

I went out at 1PM. It was blowing pretty good, but we all had a nice dive at Lighthouse, which is a very close in site. I was a bit concerned about getting back on the boat, but it had a good ladder and I just popped out of the water (with careful timing) and that was it. I suspect that any diving tomorrow will be from the South side of the Island, where the boats are safely moored now. The water was actually a bit warmer today.
