Okay, well for Komodo, I've got a provisional booking aboard the mid-priced Queen Scuba for September 3-8 2011, 6d/5n. My customer has selected these dates. The cheapest berth for that trip is €1165 in a triple.
For Raja Ampat, I'm hoping to join a trip Feb 20-March 2, 2012 on the budget vessel Paisabatu II. The cost is €1940 for 11 nights, but if we could gather enough divers, there's a chance we could get a charter rate rather than the join-in rate. This boat has lots of sold-out dates already for 2012, so if you're interested, we need to start planning.

Cool!
Anybody else?
We should get this started, then! I'll have to find out about deposits, etc. It would be seriously fun to have a whole group of us from Thailand doing this budget RA trip together. I think there are only spaces for 10 divers altogether on the boat. My customers (a couple) turned me on to this boat/this particular sailing as they've been on the boat before. That would mean that there's space for six more of us.
Here's some news about Paisabatu II, the budget liveaboard for Raja Ampat Feb 2012.
The owner is just finishing up at a dive show in Europe and has had a lot of preliminary bookings for the boat for that sailing (since other sailings are already sold out). I'm going to put my name down within the next week. If anybody else would like to join me, please let me know ASAP.
I have at least one more friend very interested. Can you give me prices if we get enough for a charter rate, what the deposit is and when it's needed. Thanks
Also do you have a website for Paisabatu II. Would like more info on the boat and the facilities they offer.
Let's not hijack the thread! Check your PM inbox for website and other news. For anybody else who wants information, please PM me.
Note that this is a pleasure trip for me, not one I'm doing as a part of my business, meaning I'm not actively trying to sell spots on this boat for my own benefit. It's just a trip that anybody is welcome to join, space permitting. I believe it is only possible to get a charter rate if we have enough to book the entire boat (which I believe is 10 altogether). So if the owner has already booked others not among people in "our group" we'll still pay the regular join-in rate.
On my way to one of my dream trips in 13 months! I put my money down on the R4 trip. There's somebody from Belgium on the trip, one couple from the US, me and hubby from Thailand, and five spots left.
