View Poll Results: Which day of the week is best for a monthly Meet-up?
I think it would be nice to have a regularly scheduled time to meet-up every month. Perhaps we could start getting more people out to discuss what we all love. If enough regulars we could plan local and not so local trips and events. Also, with larger groups, we could negotiate better prices for food and drinks.
If you are interested, choose which day would be best for you. Also, any suggestions on which part of town or specific places to hold our monthly meet-up would be helpful.
We've tended to meet in a few spots on SUkhumvit 22 but the last meet-up was at Ekkamai which I thought was a great spot.
I would like a regular meeting, but it always seems to be midweek, I for one would prefer it being Fri or Sat, mainly because i have to work Mon to Fri and getting into BKK just for a couple of hours is a bit of a bind, however end of week and one can make a night of it. I am sure there are more like me who live outside the city and mid week is a problem.
The venue keeps changing as well we need to decide on a venue and keep to it.
I have tried to make the last 4 meetings but wed or thurs are a real problem for me. ( I work till 7pm)
Any night is good for me. Back in England I was an active member of our local BSAC branch for many years and I'd love to see something along the same lines here in Bangkok. A weekly/bi-weekly/monthly meeting to talk about our great hobby, show off new gear and most importantly... Plan dive trips!
Well the poll is up for 30 days so we'll see what happens.
Actually, this last time is the first time that we've changed the venue since the beginning. We've always been at Larry's or almost next door at Bourbon street.
