i am going on acruise in march-i will be in cozumel from9am-12am/grand cayman 7:30am-4:30pm/and ochos rios 8am-3:30pm. i am diving solo-my friends aren't certified-so i would like to get in a great dive for the day at each island.any help and suggestions i would appreciate-the time constraint is tough but i am solo.i am looking for someplace close to port and i don't know the dive boat schedules.I NEED TO SEE SOME SHARKS!!!

I can find the number for a guy named Charro in Cozumel if you like. Charro leaves in the morning(between 9 and 10AM) for Palancar for the first dive then takes you to a secluded beach for a great lunch and relaxing on the beach before the second dive. Two dives, a great lunch, rental of a BC and regulator were all about $60 and the diving was incredible! He even gave us a ride back to the motel so we wouldn't have to call a taxi!

If you want to see a shark, tell Charro, he'll look for one for you. He pointed out all kinds of fun things to us I'd never had seen without his help!

You might even have time for a night dive with him if you don't have to be on board until midnight!

Leo,
You can book your dives from most cruise ships. They will send out a 'day trip' book with your documents. I have done it this way several times.
While it may be a slightly better price to try to use your own dive operator, unless you are sure you can count on him to have the dives done in time for you to reboard the ship, it's not really as advisable.
Have fun! I love to cruise.
