I have a client looking at going to the Mango Inn. I have never been there, but have sent many to Utila Lodge with good success. Looking for opinions from those that have stayed there.

Thanks,

Eric

I've stayed at Mango Inn - in fact, it's the only place I've stayed on Utila. It appears to be one of the better options, although I didn't check out the handful of resort which I've heard exist. It has a wide range of accomodations, ranging from dorm room to more comfortable doubles. It also has what appeared to be the only swimming pool on Utila, and a pizzeria with absolutely delicious pizzas.

I have a photo here.

Spent a week there last year. I loved it. Not fancy but not rundown either. Excellent grounds, pool, bar, restaurant and staff. Centrally located from the municipal dock, bars, Captain Morgan's and other stuff.

Pizza from the wood fired oven is as good as they say.

Personally after looking at their in formation they offer everything ala carte type.....rooms, diving packages..however no meals are included....I would suggest in Utila Deep Blue Resort http://www.deepblueutila.com/resort.htm

I'm coming to the end of 3 weeks here, and it's been great! 3 meals each day, good home cooking....the boat Captain Swin there is non better IMO as well as Matt, who'll really look after you well on the boat.

You are treated like family here, this is my 2nd trip down here this year....and I would never consider staying any where else.

The first response was made by ChienAndalou on 10-28-06, nearly 6 years later.

If anyone is really in interesed in informing "Eric," I'd suggest a PM, although his last visit here was on 08-22-02.
