So you decided you want to go on that once in a lifetime dive trip? Maybe quit your job and become a full time SCUBA Instructor at a famous resort? Saved up for years did you? You book your flights, make your arrangements, packed your bags and then suddenly.... REVOLUTION!! What should you do?

I know, let’s go somewhere else, you call your travel agency and say I need to go somewhere else, but where?

Philippines seem like a good choice yes? Nope US State Department says ...

  2. My First 100 days in office and the "on boat" intro dive course

    by , February 9th, 2013 at 06:14 AM
Hello and welcome from Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt!! Been out of touch for a bit sorry everyone. There are things you learn to appreciate when moving to a third world country and a stable internet connection is definitely one of them. Now that I have finally sorted that out I am back on the air!!

It's kind of weird being here. A professional dive guide/instructor at a resort location is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT then being at a retail, "land based" diving center. I have met a few diving ...

    by , August 4th, 2012 at 06:39 PM

    by , June 25th, 2012 at 09:45 AM
Here I am in New Jersey, one week away from finally making this move. I am watching the Egyptian election results and thinking more and more about the what most people would say is going to be an insane move. For those of you who have been following along, we are forced with having to ship at least four more crates of stuff so take a moment to laugh some more!!

So back to the topic at hand, "For God Sakes, Why Egypt?!!" For all my "rest of the world" readers that ...

  5. Getting ready to live the dream, the adventures of an ex-pat in his motherland. Pt. 1

    by , June 12th, 2012 at 03:30 PM
Ok, just dropped my stuff off at the freight forwarder so there is officially no turning back! The wedding was beautiful!! Now the checklist of everything that needs to be done.
    1) Got married
    2) Got Visas
    3) Packing........

Let's talk about packing for a minute. There are always two schools of thought when it comes to packing, bring all of it, or bring nothing. Since we have way too much Scuba gear (is there really such a thing?) to carry on the plane we thought ...
