Has anyone used those tank buoyancy compensators before? if so sre they of any use.
 
Tank Weights? No. I use HP steel tanks unless on a dive trip.
 
Oh...The bouyancy compensator part threw me. Until seeing them via your link, I'd never seen them before. It looks useful, if you have trouble with having your face pushed in the water. Which most back-inflation BCs tend to do. I like the idea of the weight being ditchable, most other fixes aren't.
 
I use tank weights occasionally - if it is an appropriate distribution of needed weight.
But the contraption pictured it the website you included looks like an entrapment hazard, a fishing line magnet. I wouldn't dive with something like that.
When I do want to attach weights to my tank, I use a standard tank Cam band, and curved weights that fit flush to the tank.
