(sorry... couldn't resist :))

Hello Chris,
Welcome to the boards. Rick is right about it being cold up there, but the Lobster diving is well worth it. If you'd like to research the Maine diving scene start with the best tool to do the job. http://www.scubadirectory.com/

Let us know what we can help you out with.

The best diving in New England, from a macro creature veiwpoint is in Eastport Maine. However it's a long drive and the water is cold and you must dive at slack tide (~ 22 ft tides).

Mario I wouldn't recommend lobster diving in Maine it's illegal and I'm sure the penalties must be stiff.

There are many dive sites along to coast. Nubble light is very popular but you can't dive there on Sundays or Holidays.

Are you serious? Wow I never knew that! It just goes to show just how much you learn on these boards every day. But just between me and you, I would move from Maine for that reason alone. No lobster diving? What a crime!

What about crabs? Can you catch crabs in Maine? Have you ever gotten crabs in Maine? :)
