I commonly come to the scubaboard.com website and see that there are guests online. Yet, when I check back later no one new has joined. THIS IS A GREAT WEBSITE! Joining was easy. I am not the webmaster nor an owner of any kind. In fact I have my own web site that is not even affiliated with this one.

I just want to let all "guests" know that this board is very helpful in all aspects of diving. I have never received any rude comments which I appreciate and any of my medical questions have always been responded to by a doctor. This is a great group of divers and it's not clicky so please join us. We're interested in what you have to say, too. To top all of this off its FREE!

Just my 2 cents,
Jennifer

I have to say that this is the 1st time that I've felt comfortable replying to a board. It's a very informative and friendly board. I've been to plenty of them but I'm a little shy when it comes to that. I stumbled onto here and am glad I did! I'm a divemaster on Grand Cayman so it's always interesting to see what everyone has to say!
So, HI everyone! Dive safe and have fun!! Case

Caymancase,

Welcome. This board is one of the most friendly I've found. Everyone who posts replys is truly trying to help or share knowledge. We'll all look forward to hearing your warm water, unlimited vis stories so we can dream. (at least us "chozen frozen" Michigan divers anyway.

caymancase,

Welcome aboard, if you have anything to add we always welcome everyones input so just blurt it out, hehe. Nothing to be shy about here. We strive to treat everyone equal and hope you feel at home here, any suggestions you have are ALWAYS welcome!

=-)

This is a great place to hang out! Tell us more about living and working on Grand Cayman. I enjoy hearing how things really are rather than the tourist info put out by resorts and such. We can keep a secret...hehe

Glad to have you here...
Dee

....and say it's awful living here... but I get the feeling you wouldn't believe me! Island life is not for everyone( no Walmarts!) but it suits me. I've had to learn to slow down a bit...which isn't a bad thing. Grand Cayman is a terrific island because it not only is beautiful but it's a very clean, religious island so there's no crime to worry about and very happy people. And the services here are great ie: great doctors, great vets( I have alot of pets), well stocked grocery stores, etc. so I have everything I need. And there's always a plane to take me to Florida if I need a "Walmart fix".
And I have yet to say that I don't want to get up and go to work in the morning! People always ask if I get sick of diving everyday.... NOPE! What better job is there than diving in these beautiful waters everyday with happy people on vacation?! It beats a desk job!
And, coming from the Northeast originally... the weather ain't so bad either! Having to mow the lawn year round sure beats shovelling!
If anyone on the board ever has any questions about the island (diving related or not) please feel free to ask away!
Happy Holidays to you all! Come down and see me sometime!

Case,
After talking to you, talked to Mrs.Don & we decided to come down there in Oct/Nov for Pirate's Week. Went to the Doc & picked up an eye patch & am working on a wooden leg in the shop. Now if I can learn not to say Arrrgh Maty y'all, I'll be set.

Leopard print wetsuit with wooden leg, do you really want to know?

Don
