What magazines do you read / recommend?

I know there are a few good magazines out there, but my favorite just came in the mail today.

It's "Advanced Diver Magazine", and is the most quality magazine available, in my eyes.

Curt Bowen is the publisher and a very qualified diver and photographer.

The magazine only comes out quarterly. Anyone else get the AdvancedDiver magazine?

Advanced Diver Magazine is by far my favorite as well. In fact I was just talking about it with Pete and Sharon Readey of Steam Machines Rebreathers the other day.

I met the Bowen's at DEMA last year in Vegas, and was truely impressed with the publication.

There is another great magazine out there, that I love reading cover to cover and that's: Immersed

The best magazine geared toward recreational divers has to be Dive Training Magazine. I hate the other, advertisment heavy magazines...

I get several magazines but I really enjoy undercurrent news letter the most. It is a monthly consumer newsletter for sport divers that reviews scuba destinations and equipment. They do NOT accept any advertising and also prints a 400+ page "Travelin Diver's Chapbook" that is a great tool in deciding where to go and why.

Foreign magazine with normal advertisement quantity:

1. Asian Diver - Singapore, on location report: Asia Pacific (sometimes too much).
2. Sport Diving - Australia, lots of article on marine life of Asia Pacific.
3. Diver - UK, good articles on cold water diving, definitely not for me.

Been looking for the right US dive magazine to subscribe, I've found advertisement heavy magazines so far. Tx for info.

How do I get #1 and #2? Both sound interesting.
Mario, I like Immersed also. And UnderCurrent has a good web site. Thanks for sharing. Never saw their web site before.

They both are on the news-stand at Borders right? I know Advanced Diver is NOT. You can only get it through subscription. I'm so blown away by the issue this month. Curt did a fantastic job with those cave shots!

Most Technical Diving magazines aren't available at book/magazine store. You'll have to either stop by a local dive store that specializes in technical diving, or subscribe to the magazine.

All you have to do is scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the blue underlined smilies word. That'll give you a list of different smilies you can use. Somewhere along the way I read that we shouldn't go overboard though. We all try to limit our use to no more than 2 or 3 to a post, so that it doesn't bog down the server... just a heads up.

I just noticed that under King Neptunes name he has 4 1/2 stars and so does Mario but King Nep has something about Forum DiveMaster - have i missed something?
I know the stars represent how many messages you add into the forum but why do you have different names???
