  2. Snorkeling instead of diving

    Today was a beautiful sunny and rather warm day. The current predictions for Keystone were pretty good for diving but without a buddy to dive with I snorkeled instead. I have never seen so many dead jellyfish floating in the water. The bull kelp was really in bad shape. Seasoned northern kelp crabs were still hanging onto their worn out stipes, though. Snorkeling with a dry suit is not very comfortable. I had about 15/20lbs of led in my belt and still I could not stay dawn. I put a couple of big ...
