OK,

Y'all know that I'm kinda out on the edge of existence, But has anyone noticed the amount of men that are on the "For Women Only"?

I checked the first 4 subjects and counted 10 posts by the opposite sex. So what gives? OK guys, it's time for you to come out of the closet.

You know who you are.

Which brings us to the question of how you know this... I mean by your definition you shouldn't be there either should you! Or is there something your not telling us? LOL! Busted buddy, sorry I couldn't resist!

Dear Don #27 (iguana)

I don't know how seriously your mail is meant, but I find it positive that you even thought about it.

I approve of men putting their 0.02 on the "women only" pages. I interpret "women only" as themes that pertain particularly to women, not as subjects that only we can talk about or about which only we have a right to an opinion. Are there any such subjects? Are there any subjects that only men can expound on, and women have to keep their mouths shut?

"Feminism" should not mean an elitairian shutting out of men from women's sphere of existence. The idea is to integrate both sexes to a greater degree in every aspect of our existences, because that leads to understanding, and understanding is what breaks down taboos.

From what I have seen on this board, I suspect that most of you (men and women) already have that or a similar attitude.

There will always be a few die-hard "machos" (bless their little souls) and a few militant feminists out to castrate anything male. I have not seen any on this board, however, and even so, they are not the people who count.

We are on this planet together, and I like it that way. So please, guys, continue to put in your $0.02 on the women's page, we value and respect your thoughts and opinions, even they are not identical to our own. As the French say, "Vive la différence."

*gozu descends from soapbox*

No soap box Goz -- you're on the money on this one.

I interpreted the "Women Only" as a place for topics that may touch our hearts a bit more, but could be of interest to guys or gals. I figure if you're not a gal, you know of - or are buddy to - or friend of at least one. The information found there great for me, but I've also passed it along to friends (of the male species) who know other female divers (usually these folks are not connected through the web). You know if I told two friends, and they both told two friends. . .

I like Don also wondered why so many men wrote messages in the For Women Only forum, but it didn't bother me any and I'm sure Don was just joking around.

I honestly viewed it at first for women only communicating together but Gozu's "soap box" changed my view. That was beautifully written Gozu!

PS: I've typed your name as Gozmutti before. Sorry I didn't notice the U in there. LOL Did you get my private message? If not please PM me and let me know. Thanks!

Hi Everyone,

You are all right on the money on this subject. I had requested that the "Women Only" section be included on the forum as a place for posting topics that were in general, more related to women. However, input from everyone is more than welcome.

I have found in my experience that often times, men bring a different perspective to women's issues that can be very helpful and can make you totally think about the issue in a different light.

So guys, you are more than welcome to put your $.02 in on topics in the "Women Only" section.

Cheers,
