Hello,
I have recently been looking for a small boat to use for offshore dives. It must be able to endure light to medium chop well and have easy exit/entrance points, preferably with a swim/dive platform. Would you offer some suggestions by make and model of boats you prefer or would recommend?

Hi DeltaD, and welcome to ScubaBoard. You might get better responses if you were to post this question in "Boating Equipment".

If you've heard Ford vs. Chevy arguments, they're civilized compared to which boat to dive from. Another place on the web discuses spearfishing off shore, SpearBoard.com. The further off shore you want to go, the bigger and faster the boat needs to be. Bigger and faster means more $$$. Some boats that are favored recently Pursuit, Glacier Bay, World Cat, and on and on. Triple 250 hp engines, double, etc. We will all be living our dreams as soon as the lottery ticket hits. . .

I'm going to chime in about getting a Zodiac. I have a 24' version that I love for diving. Take it out in all weather and you'll still get home.
