The Certified Diver's Handbook: The Complete Guide to Your Own Underwater Adventures

I read this after I received my OW certification from PADI. Even though the book is a bit dated from 2008, the content is useful for newly certified divers and includes a lot of tips that PADI leaves out. Plus the author has a great sense of humor if a bit sardonic and ironic. A nice change from PADI training books for new and experienced divers.

Agreed -- there's a lot of good information in the book, although I don't agree with everything he has to say. But I learned about granny lines from him! (He also is a member of SB, although he doesn't post very often.)
