Has anyone tried the Scubapro Glide 2000 BC?

It is usually sold in the UK, i dont know if its sold in the US by another name?

How do u find it in tropical waters?

and given that a BC is defalted underwater, does a BC really make a difference down there?

Thanks for ur feedback....

VERY GOOD BC

MANY AWARD IN DIVING MAGAZINES
ELECTED BY ? (dont remember) BC OF THE YEAR 2000
VERY CONFORTABLE OUT OF WATER WHYLE WALKING WITH THE BOTTLE.
GOOD SAFETY POSITION ON SURFACE ( NO FACE DIP INTO WATER ).
GOOD VOLUME ( ARM CHAIR LIKE BC, IT IS A NON WING BC OF COURSE ).
THE INFLATOR IS VERY GOOD ( WELL KNOW SCUBAPRO INFLATORS ).
IT IS HYDRODYNAMIC.
QUITE GOOD STABILITY OF THE TANK.
UNDERWATER ALSO ( NOT A LEAST ) VERY CONFORTABLE.
STRONG MADE
THE SCOULDER CLIPS A LITTLE DIFFICULT TO OPEN BECAUSE COVERED ( TO BE PROTECTED ) ONLY ACCESSIBLE ON THE SIDES.

I USED ONE DURING VACATION

I PERSONNALLY LIKE WING BC BUT THAT IS A CHOICE

concernig BC within same category : this is what the magasine " Plongeurs June 2001 " is proposing regarding a test they performed in a pool and in Egypt ( red sea )

1 Aqualung pro QD
2 Seac sub pro 2000
3 Scubapro Glide 2000
4 Oceanic Nemo 1000
5 Cressi Safety 109
6 Omer Tekno pro 2000
7 Masterlift evolution Beuchat
8 Sporasub Matrix

But try the BC and compare them with others.
YOU HAVE TO FEEL CONFORTABLE WITH IT not the people who are testing BC.

There is no bad BC

I have a Glide 2000 and think it is a great BC and probably 50% of my diving in it has been in the Red Sea.

Like others have mentioned I have now moved on to Wings for recreational diving but still use the Glide for pool sessions and assisting on OW courses - will probably keep it until it falls apart, which could be some time as after 2 years, about 100 o/w dives and umpteen pool sessions it still looks good as new.
