My main BC has been a Manta for a long, long time, but on a whim on eBay, I picked up a Sherwood Modular Diving Vest for not much money. It's a back inflation vest, and since I've always wanted to try back inflation, I'm looking forward to some pool time with it later this Spring. A question:

The only dump valve (other than the inflator hose) is on the lower right hip. I'm thinking that a shoulder dump valve might be nice and maybe I could swap out the elbow and hose for one that had a dump valve in it.

Is there any commonality to the oral inflator hose mechanisms between brands so that, for an example, a Mares oral inflator assembly might fit?

Just a thought . . . .
