I'm switching from a SP glide pro to a SP tek bp/w... the back plate is 6lbs ss plate.. I dive mostly warm ( its in the 60's now) gulf waters in florida.. with my 3mm suit, and 5/3 hoody pullover, I wear 14lbs... I'm thinking with the bp/w I should start at about 10lbs... does that sound right? more less?
thanks

Please do not PM me site support issues. Please post them in the Site Support forum so that others can solve similar problems (if they have them) by reading our site support forum.
Drop a minimum of 6 pounds just for the plate. To avoid getting too light, I's start with 8 pounds including a couple 1 pounder you can hand off at the end of the dive.
I agree with awap. Being 2 lbs overweighted is not a big issue, but being several pounds UNDERweighted is a nuisance. Start by taking off the six, and then do a formal weight check at the end of your dive to see if you can drop more.
