    I have both...

    Ford or Chevy...flip a coin.
You're not going to dive with that, are you?

This is not something that anyone can really answer for you. Personal preference. I would do a bit of research and come back with some questions.

I would say Halcyon because that's what I use and have experience with. A lot of people say the OxyCheq wings are pretty good. I don't know for sure as I have not tested one out yet.

I have Halcyon, my fiancee has Oxycheq. Both are good. The Halcyon is a little narrower. Her Oxycheq 45 has the same profile as the Oxycheq 30. My Halcyon Pioneer 36 has side gussets that some people do not like (I don't care about it). Hers requires an sta, mine does not. I think that my cam straps are nicer (stainless steel with a rubber grip surface), but that is a different matter than the wing. Hers doesn't have blue "H's" all over it and it doesn't say "DIR" in huge letters, you can judge that one for yourself.

I don't think the differences are that significant, at least not for a recreational diver like me. Maybe more advanced divers can actually notice the differences in trim.

Both are great wings, I have a Halcyon, one of my buddies has a Oxycheq. I like my Eclipse over her Oxycheq, however, I have not seen their signature series....

I think that you will find nothing more than noted above. Those who dive oxycheq will likely recommend it, and those who dive Halcyon are bred even stronger willed. I agree with warren flip a coin.

    Abyss BP/W 30# liftwith harness - aprox $250 ?????

Wonder why Abyss, dive rite and OMS are being left out. You really need to confuse yourself by considering all the options out there

Or are you asking about the amount of lift?

Which wing is best for Single Tank + Pony Bottle

    Greetings Friends,

I'm looking to upgrade my BC set up and I think I'm sold on the Halcyon BP/Wing combo over the Zeagle Ranger BC. I do a lot of wreck diving in the Atlantic and my next purchase is going to be a drysuit so I think this would be an ideal set up for me. I've seen pictures of how nicely the wings snug around a single tank, but I have concern how well this set up will work with the addition of a pony bottle as well. When I dive off the coast of NJ on wrecks I dive with a steel 120 and a 30 cu. ft. pony bottle attached directly to the side of the steel 120. Is this tank config going to be a problem being pretty much on top of the one wing? Would I need a bigger wing like the #36? Would I need a different BP/Wing set up for these tanks or would I be better off with the Zeagle Ranger? Also I like to have ample D rings for wreck reels, lights, and game bag etc.- does the Halcyon harness system provide enough D rings? Besides the simplicity and performance of the BP/Wing set up I think it would be nice to go with so it can grow with my diving aspirations as I think I will be venturing into Technical Diving a few more years down the road. Any advice will be appreciated, I going to buy something next month. Right now I have a cheap-O jacket style BC and it sucks. The thing moves all over the place and can't hold my tank setup in place at all. Sometimes I find myself underwater with the thing on almost sideways. Thanks guys!
