Does anyone know of a wing that has a right shoulder dump valve.
Please dont cloud the issue with whether or not you like one there...or one should be there....just...is there just a wing with a right shoulder dump valve.
I dont have a clue Lio. I have been on some sites and havent found one yet. I converted from a SQ Pro QD to a DR TransPlate and wing and the only feature I miss from my old SQ is the right shoulder dump valve. The dump valve really gets the air out fast if needed. The inflator hose is just too slow for my liking and to invert so as to use the bottom dump valve on the wing isnt always practical...plus...it only dumps one side of the wing effectively.
Guess I will have to look some more and hope for an answer eventually.

...on my Xwing. Has a dump on both shoulders actually, as there is one integrated into the inflator hose, and another on the back of the right shoulder. I didn't like reaching for it all the time, so I 'extended' the line and rigged a clip to my top shoulder D ring. Works GREAT for drysuit diving as I can quickly adjust the amount of air if my suit is holding a little bigger bubble than I really want. I got the Xwing from Bob3 here on the board, but don't know if he has any more.
The Xwing, from Northern Divers, was designed to be an 'add-on' wing. Don't ask me how it was supposed to work, I just mounted it on a backplate with a couple of FredT mini-STA's and dive it.
What do they mean by "additional redundant air cell to the modern bcd..." ? Got a clue on that one ?? It makes me think it is something in addition to my wing I already have mounted on my bp. ??
It appears to be something like the Redwing from AP Valves in the U.K., which is a wing designed to be attached to a bp/w (or in this case, a bcd) as a back-up bladder. Sort of a double Rec Wing-like arrangement. I've read that the Redwing is not intended to be used alone...only as a back-up. No idea why...

Are you doubting that it has a right shoulder dump, when I just told you that it does????? Need photo evidence of where the dumps are? :11: Actually, if you use the link you posted, and then click on the photo and get the full sized one, you can see the dump on the right shoulder, with a black ball hanging from it. (or at least I could with my laptop)...
Like I said, it was designed as an "additional" flotation device. All I could think of is that you could kind of 'stack' it with another smaller wing and haul doubles or something. Interesting point is that it doesn't have any bolt holes in it. It doesn't have tank band holes either, so I went to an STA, and burned some holes in it with a soldering iron. Works great! I got it from Bob3 for around $150.00 or so, but I may have been the last one he had.
Send some questions to Bob3 and tell him I sent you! I'm sure that I'll have plenty of information about the rig and let you know if you can get one????

Chill dude...my pc shows it mainly as a black blob.
I dont think I would be interested in an add on ...stacked...wing. Gut feeling isnt good over that one. If it works for you then go to it. The picture was good enuf on my old pc to make me wonder why it couldnt be used alone.
Oh well...the quest continues. Appreciate the input.
