Annie (or anyone else):
When you take your crew and cart-loads of boxes of equipment to film an underwater scene for a paying client, what insurance do you get to cover your liability and your own medical risks while underwater? I know that many funders require that a production be insured to the hilt, but I guess that normal film insurance agencies don't know anything about insuring divers. And if I recall correctly, the DAN info I've seen specifically excludes commercial ventures.

Needless to say I haven't done this, but I need some ballpark figures for proposal budgets.

thanks.

Contact DEPP (divers equipment protection plan) Insurence, Just google it!

thanks for the suggestion. I googled "divers equipment protection plan" and found a few references to it but no web site. FWIW I'm interested mainly in liability and medical, not equipment.

E&O is another important issue too, but I already have a handle on that.
