    Attention All SCUBA Divers:
    Learn the Essentials of Underwater Archaeology!
    Nautical Archaeology Society Level 1 Course (NAS 1)

    Back by popular demand!
    SOS Toronto is offering the Nautical Archaeology Society Level I Course, under the direction of Chris Phinney, Senior NAS Tutor, Save Ontario Shipwrecks.

    When: Friday, October 1st; Saturday, October 2nd; Sunday, October 3rd inclusive.

    Where:Classroom Sessions: Archaeology Centre, Anthropology Bldg., University of Toronto
    Pool Sessions: Central Technical School, 725 Bathurst St., Toronto
    Open Water Session Wreck of the J.C. Morrison, Lake Simcoe, Barrie

    Registration: Paid fee registers you to one of the limited seats… DON’T WAIT!

    Content: Intro. To Wooden Ship Building 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday
    Marine Archaeological Theory 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday
    Dry Land Survey Practice 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday
    Pool Survey Practice Session 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday (SCUBA gear required)
    Open Water Dives (min two dives) 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday (SCUBA gear and full exposure protection required)

    Cost: $150, + SOS Membership Required ($25 per person, $40 per family)

    Dear Divers,

    I regret to inform you that having spoken with the course instructor and without enough divers enrolled, this weekend's NAS I course has been cancelled.

    I hope to reorganize a NAS course at some future date.
