    Considering canon IXUS 70

im considering buying a small compact camera that i can use on land, and take basic point and shoot photos underwater. im looking at an IXUS 70 (aka SD1000, IXY10) does anyone use this camera for taking simple shots underwater. also, im finsing it hard to get a straight answer on the web, so i was wondering if you can answer these questions for me.

    1. does the IXUS 70 support external flashes, some places say it does. and some dont
    2. can you attach lenses to the housing.

    thanks.

    1. The Ixus cameras use a preflash. The first flash takes a measurement before the second flash. Strobes that can ignore the preflash will work.

    2. Yes. Inon makes lenses and adapters. The one for the DC13 was announced in Japan. That means Inon America should have it on their site soon.
