    Canon Underwater case needed

I have a pocket canon digital camera and looking for a case that will allow me to take pictures when diving. Something basic...

I'm looking for recommendations and a link to a site to purchase (at a good price).

P.S. Is this the right forum to post - i'm new to the scuba board.

Are you looking for a case for the camera you have or a whole new set up?

If it is for the camera you have, what model is it so we can give you better info.

I've bought my Canon UW housing in Amazon.com at a very good price.
You need to buy the exact housing for your camera. There is no universal housing.
Besides, if your camera is rather old, perhaps it's hard to find the exact housing. Perhaps you should buy a new set (camera + housing).

Here is the exact model that I have - power shot SD890 IS. I'm very happy on ground w/ this model above ground.

    Thanks

    Ikelite | 6147.89 Underwater Housing f/ Can | 6147.89 | B&H

    $225

It does not seem as though Canon makes one specifically for your model. Good luck to you. Maybe you can find one on ebay.

Go to the Canon page, search for the Canon accesories for your camera. Look for the UW case. Perhaps there is no UW case, as Canon only does UW cases for some models, not all.
Canon UW Housings are rated 40 mts. Ikelite housings are rated 60 mts.
Ike UW Housings are toughter than Canon UW housing, but also heavier and bigger and more expensive.
Ikelite post-sale service seems to be better than Canon service. It has been mentioned somewhere here that Ike buttons has some alignment problems, but things that were solved by Ike service.

It seems that there is no Canon UW Housing for the SD890 is
    PowerShot SD890 IS Digital Camera

    Ikelite is your best option.

Is it easy to return the case from either B&H or Adorama. Are these good companies to work with. The price is the same?

Both reputable and competitive companies .... you should have no problems with either one.
It's just my opinion, folks ...

I don't mean to highjack this thread, but I'm in the position of not being able to find a shell for my Canon A710 IS. The Canon shell (WP-DC6) is nowhere to be found and Ikelite apparently no longer produces a shell for this camera.

Where do you guys generally go in this situation? EBay+luck as luckydays mentioned? Or is there some other option beyond Canon and Ikelite?
