Places near Ginnie for OW Divers

Hey all, I'm going up near Ginnie tomorrow...still haven't made it up to start cavern/intro. yet so I am just looking for a spot that has something OW divers can do . I did a few dives at Ginnie last time I was up there, so interested in seeing something new. Is peacock worthwhile for an OW diver? Any other suggestions? TIA.

Orange Grove at Peacock Springs is the only OW site at the park. Its pretty neat. I think Troy might be a place to check out (I haven't been there, personally), and Blue Grotto is about 30-40mins away (kinda pricey, though).

Can you dive OW at Manatee? I remember Catfish sink as being fairly good-sized, and pretty.

I dunno, I think so. Manatee is pretty cool, too.

I am looking for someone to dive Troy with tomorrow. I got a new BC for Christmas and need to get it wet.

I'm coming from S FL..the main purpose of the trip is to buy a set of LP95s from a guy near Ginnie and we were trying to get a quick dive or 2 in before turning around to head back .. so I think Troy would unfortunately be a little too far North.

We're leaning toward Peacock. I was trying to call them at the ph# 386-776-2194 for info but nobody answers it. Can anyone confirm that Peacock will be open with decent diving conditions tomorrow? What about admission price for diving? Thanks!

I live in Perry and Troy is about an hour away. Its on the other side of Mayo, before you get to Ichtucknee. I would dive Orange Grove as well, I just want to get in the water with my new toy, and I have no dive buddies that want to go.
