I reached a new milestone of 2hrs and 9 minutes in a cave diving at Peacock last weekend and my deepest penetration of over 2000ft one way! I am thankful to God because after my IPE in 2010 I didn't believe it would ever happen. If not for my faith in my Lord Jesus I would have quit. I also want to thank all of my friends and dive buddies who stood by me and didn't give up on me.

Glad you are diving successfully. Did you change anything to reduce the chances of another IPE event?

TSandM ...Nothing has really changed except my level of training. I went on to take adv nitrox and deco. I approached caves very, very slowly, for years. I began diving monthly with a group out of Georgia and slowly over a period of time with their great patience and mentoring I was able to venture a bit further and beyond each time. No medical intervention. Just through faith rising above my fear.

Congrats on your milestone! Peacock is a beautiful system.

Good for you Denise!

Had an isolated incidence of IPE myself. A complete cardiac work-up was negative. Now I just make sure I don't overhydrate before the dive.
