    Last week off North Wall

Some people never get to see these things off the North Wall, thanks Neptune for being in the right place at the right time.

Jealous! Great pic. Details, please! What site? Looks like either the top of North Wall or a second dive shallow site? What time of day? Truly your lucky day!

Photo of Hammerhead was taken by 1 of our Neptune's divers, Adam, on April 7th at Eagle Ray Pass on the North Wall on our 9 AM 2 tank trip. He was just cruising along the top of the wall at 60 ft.

Sweet! You were indeed lucky. We have a few hundred dives in the Caymans and only saw one hammerhead there – a brief encounter. It was on the Brac, a morning dive on the North side with Divi. It too was cruising a reef-top – a shallow one, perhaps 20 feet. Only my buddy and I and one other buddy team saw it. They were doing their first or second post-certification dive and probably didn't realize how fortunate they were in those waters. Several of the staff admitted they'd never seen one.

    What a great picture.
Are sharks common in these waters? I'm back in July and would love to see some.

    Not really!
On the east end, you have a decent chance of seeing reef sharks. On the north wall, the occasional hammerhead as the one above. I have heard of a few bull/tiger sightings. In +-60 dives in Cayman, I have seen reef sharks once ; that's it!
