1. To the east of you there are a few houses & then a fenced ocean lot with a gap in you can drive through opposite the pond. A long swim & the wall was ok - only done this once.
2. Directly to the west of you, there's a track right by your wall where we park. Straight off here or a few degreees to the right is great - the wall has tons of tunnels & drop offs. Recommended.
3. Keep going west past "Parrot's Nest", past a cleared lot bordered with boulders & then drive up the next oceanside track. Can access there - wall is nice.
4. Keep going west - there's a track in the bush before the big White House & opposite the police station - wall is ok.
5. "The Edge" - park by the new busstop next to the foundation slab where The Edge used to be. Access across the next beach lot to the west (Leroy Frederick's beach). look out to the fringing reef about 5-10 degrees & you will see a coral head just sticking out of the water. There's a old steel cable wrapped around the bottom of it which snakes out through a gap in the fringing reef. There's a rip so you don't need the cable to get out but, to get back in, if there's too much wave action to snorkel over the fringing reef, locate the outer end of the cable & use it to drag yourself through the cut. It's only 10-15 feet dep so you would only need say 500 psi for that. Wall is great - tunnels etc. Recommended.
6. Bodden Town public beach - did this once about 15 years ago (non-memorable). Channel in fringing reef aids access.
7. Manse Road - the whole area from the former end of Manse Road (the Megoo's house) west to the end of the beach has great wall dives - tunnels, pinnacles. When the road leaves the ocean side & goes inlans (a bit) park just before the next oceanside house & walk down the east side of their wall to the beach. Alternatively keep driving on the new dirt road which ends up on the bluff overlooking the west end of the beach, park there & scramble down. Recommended.
8. Keep going west - Beach Bay, Pedros, Spotts Jetty, Propsect Reef, Mariners, Ocean Club, Prospect Point etc etc.

Hi y'all! Nipi, I read with interest your post about shore dives in the Pease Bay/Bodden Town area. We will be diving the island in a couple of weeks and were curious about the south coast during the normal winter east winds. Is this area accessible during the winter months? We have done quite a bit of diving on the east end (north and south), but know that we probably will be blown off the north part of the island in February. We really have enjoyed the diving around the Breakers and were curious about this area.
If they might be a possibility in February, can you give me a few more landmarks for us? We'll be traveling from the east end.

The Breakers area seems to be more sheltered than others on the south side so its sites can be doable when others wouldn't. There's one (Cardiac Tunnel) which can be doable under most conditions. Just past the South Coast bar & before the next building there's a spot where you can enter. There's a wide break in the fringing reef so there's pretty well always a rip there so you need to be happy getting back at the side of the rip. Nice mini wall - often a large buch of tarpon to the right. The wall has lots of sand tunnels & chutes - turn right.
Breakers Cut Back is east of the Lighthouse down the sand road. It's a long swim. They've put a marker on it now so you can see how long.
Heading west out of Breakers the wall is great for at least a quarter of a mile from the yellow house to the end of the green fence on the beach side of the road. The wall is quite a swim & you have to be happy getting through the fringing reef so calm conditions are best.
nipi, thanks for the response. Cardiac Tunnel (I didn't know it had a name) is awesome. I had chills run up and down my spine when i swam through to the wall…one of my favorite moments! I guess I was kinda asking about the Bodden Town area and Pease Bay in the winter. Are they accessible? If so, could you give me some landmarks coming from the east end for parking and locating these dives? I've been checking out your info posted above on google maps and am having some trouble pinpointing the entry spots.
As an aside, do you have any interest in diving with two very safe, but adventurous divers between Feb. 19-24?

I don't think I can be more specific but you'll find the landmarks much easier when you're here than from Google Maps. Afraid I won't be available those dates.
