just washed my gear.

the diving
the first 15 min for every diver on the boat for their first day is a detailed safety meeting.
once the boat is moored all divers receive a detailed dive briefing showing the name and compass readings.
a detailed drawing is made on a white board with brand new colored markers.
no solo diving, all dive teams are recorded on the roll call.
a dm was in the water on all dives for buddyless divers and a guided tour.

the vis was between 60-100 ft all week.
temp was between 86 -82 degrees all week.
first dives were allowed to 110 ft
most divers would head to the wall and check out the blue.

I thought the reef looked to be in good shape with lots of different hard and soft corals.
with my new prescription mask the tons of small fish were very clear and colorful.
the big stuff was not shy either like nurse and reef sharks, eagle and southern rays, tons of turtles, green moray eels,
hundreds of grouper, lobster, crabs, porcupine fish and French angle fish.

every moored site is different.
with the wall, main reef, coral heads and sandy area every site provides a good dive plan for everyone's profile.
the captain and dm were always very quick to help you with your gear and switch tanks for you on every dive.

the resort
everything about lcbr is at the very least very, very, very good.
there is nothing that meets only just average.
the rooms are kept very clean.
the pool and deck area was a good place for friendly divers to meet.
the near by bar with smiling and personal service helps everyone with their needs.

our group leader is already making commitments for us next year again.

LCBR is one of only four places in the Caribbean where Mrs. Stoo and I have repeated, and it remains on the very short list of places we will return to again at some point.

I love walls, and Bloody Bay lives up to all its hype!

thnx for sharing

Thank you for your trip report. Glad you had an excellent experience.

The wife and I were there with Smokeys group and we second everything he posted ... awesome place - we will be back!

Thanks for the report-----IMO, LCBR is a good one....

Thx for the report. I agree completely.
My family and I have traveled relatively extensively in the Caribbean but we keep coming back to LCBR. Great wall, great valet dive op, superb boats and DMs. Rooms are up to date and clean. Good buffet meals with lot's of choices. Small island with not much else to do but very safe and quiet.

IMO, the dive op is the best I have ever encountered.
