Has anyone stayed at Las Rocas Resort on West Bay Beach? I am considering staying there in late Sept/Oct. Any comments on their stay would be great! Are there restaurants nearby/ How is the beach for swimming/snorkeling. And their Dive shop is it up to date? What other resorts are nearby.

We stayed at fosters (7/20-7/30/03). The beach and accomodations were very nice. It is almost right next to Las Rocas. (Bite on the beach is between the two) We met several people that stayed and dove with Las Rocas and were happy with the experience. However, they do not have much of a beach. Most of the snorkelling is a 10 minute walk down the beach.

As far as restraunts...las rocas has a descent one. We ate there for 2 or 3 dinners and 2 or 3 lunches over our 10 day stay. Bite on the beach is next door. Fosters has a resteraunt as do several of the other little resorts down west bay beach. Of course, west end is just a $1.20 water taxi ride away (about 5 minutes) or a $10 cab ride after dark. West end has many resteraunts, dive shops, and a few grocery stores.
