THREE WEEKS AND COUNTING!

Three weeks from today I leave for my first trip to Honduras. I will be staying at Anthony's Key Resort with my LDS. Please let me know if there are any last minute suggestions you have regarding this resort, things to bring, things to leave home, and must do dives. This will be my first flight since Sept. 11th so any advice regarding this portion of my trip would be greatly appreciated also.

Thanks!

Laine

Hi Laine -

AKR is gorgeous, as you probably already know.

Consistently, the best diving I've seen there is "West End Wall". Any of the dives can be great, but be sure to catch that one.

It seems like unexpected things can happen there...

The first trip I took, we experienced an earthquake while doing a night dive! 4.0 on the Richter scale, but quite enough to get our attention. At the end of that trip a typhoon hit, and the airport was closed for three days (it was in December). Stay flexible.

During the next trip, we were night diving when a thunderstorm hit. Holy guacamole! Scary, but beautiful underwater with my light out.

Give us a trip report when you get back.
