We just spent a wonderful 5 weeks in Costa Rica, surfing, cycling, hiking, looking at all the wonderful wild life every where, chillin on the beach & off course being divers, we dove. When we were on the Nicoya Penninsula in Montezuma we arranged a day with Zuma Tours including 2 dives, we went to Islas Tortugas; there we switched boats to the dive operator while everyone else when snorkeling. During the dives we saw more octopus out in the open than I've ever seen. Eels, sharks, different fish than the Caribbean side. It was the 'green season' which means the rainy season so the run-off affected the visibility & there was surge but we still have a good time. Then off to Islas Tortugas for a great BBQ lunch & some time to decompress.

We also dove the Carribean side out of Puerto Viejo with an enthusiastic dive centre called Reef Runner Divers. Again, the 'green season' & we waited for a few days for the visibility to clear. When it did, it was out 5 m with surge but all the staffs buoyant personalities made it a great day. Lovely lunch on the beach in Punta Uva. Their captain is a charmer!
