Hi,

Just wondering if there are any good locations for diving in Costa Rica in mid-late August.

Best,

jsl

There are quite a few good diving spots in Costa Rica! Where exactly will you be?

Yeah! You're coming to Costa Rica! For that time of year I would recommend more the north of the country in Guanacaste. Its a great time to dive the Bat Islands and locally in playa del coco. check out Rich coast diving. Where we are on the central pacific, Manuel Antonio, there is a lot more rain so the viz is more reduced.
Have fun!

I will also be in CR mid-August and am trying to decide between Playa Hermosa (for local dive and Bats) with diving safaris, or Mad About Diving in Playa Uvita for local diving and Cano Island. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I just got back from Playas del Coco, Guanacaste, CR 8/1-8/9/11 I was diving with Rich Coast Diving. I made 3 trips to the Bat Islands and 4 local dive trips, 19 dives in 7 days, great viz, lots of sharks, rays, eels, lobster and schools of fish. Rich Coast is a great DC, very professional, friendly staff. Very affordable diving, local accommodations and restaurants.

Awesome! How were the Bats? Any sharks and/or mantas?
Who did you dive with @ Rich Coast? I was there in March *sigh*
