It's looking like I may end up on a last-minute trip to Costa Rica, as in leave tomorrow morning.

With the primary goal of getting some good dives in, which side would you recommend, Caribbean or Pacific?

Also, I'm traveling solo, so the ability to hop on a bus to get to the destination would be a plus.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

We just got back from Costa Rica, and dove on the Pacific side with Rocket Frog. You can find several references to them here on this Board.

I've done two trips with Rocket Frog and look forward to being able to do it again. Nere and company are awesome.

definitely head to the pacific side, guanacaste. Bat islands are great right now. Rocket frog are a great company to dive with, or try deep blue, they are also good.

Thanks y'all. Bags are packed, plane leaves in a few hours. Tomorrow at this time the bus should be almost to Playas del Coco. :cool2:

Jealous!

Never been myself but from what I've heard the Pacific side is the better option.
