hello all, new to the forum, been diving for about 3yrs with around 150 dives under my belt from various parts of the world, majority Carribbean and CA.
I am looking to plan a trip down to Roatan in March, and am looking for personal experiences as I have recently heard a couple of mixed reviews.

thanks in advance.
GO STEELERS!!!

Welcome. I was in Roatan in May of this year and stayed at Coco View. It was a very nice place if you want to just dive. You can easily do four dives per day and a night dive. The sea is a bit choppy on that side of the island when the trades are blowing but they have real sea worthy boats. Decent food, but too "gringo-ized" for me. I like a bit more spice to it. Rented a car the last day and drove around the island. The west end looked nice. More bars, stores, resorts. Other stuff besides diving. Great value for your money. I did a 5 night deal for US$750. I can't say anything bad about Roatan.

Hi gonediven!

Welcome to Scubaboard! I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I've been to Roatan twice, both times at CoCoView. If you want to dive your brains out, CCV is the place to go. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Also, I agree........GO STEELERS!!!!
