we have a great news again, a new handheld primary / back up torch is tested now and will be coming up on the market soon.
Its called NANO, main features (according to the man. spec. sheet):
total weight: 299g with batteries,
light power 1600 lumen,
powered by 2 x 18650 Li-Ion rechargeable cells through a step-up converter
Completely protected from overheating - it can be used on the surface (speleo)
and protected from reversed battery connection.
