How do you carry the sea-pack on you without it getting destroyed from saltwater and or pressure?

The unit is self contained and comes in a sealed pouch. The idea being if you are stranded on the surface of the ocean, you could create drinkable water from saltwater. This would be a critical piece of gear to have in anyone's survival kit that ventures offshore. This is not intended to take below the surface with you on a dive.
