I can't help you, unfortunately, but I do hope you find a housing for your D50. I was lucky enough to find a Sea & Sea DX-D50 housing in as new condition for $500 on e-bay last April. You can take very nice underwater shots with the D50. My camera/housing has all the controls I need under water and 6.1 mp is plenty. My shots look great on a 42" HD TV screen and I was delighted to find that they even look good on a large (about 2 metres x 3 metres) film screen.
