I posted this a while back--I really want to get rid of this stuff because I'm tired of looking at a good housing taking up needed space. I'm taking $100 off from my last post. how can you refuse?

For Sale - One Dolphin Series from Ocean Images, fully electronic control UW video housing for the legendary Sony TR81 Hi8 Cam. Push button functions on the handles control cam through lanc connection; dome port-no scratches; all functions work. Cosmetically, the housing is in pristine condition. If you want lights for this housing, you can get them through Ocean Images in Cape Coral, Fla. Also, Two Sony TR 81 Cams. (both will go with the housing) Both need some repair: Both cams have the same problem; they record and play back with what looks like a slight tracking problem (noise at the bottom of picture) I don't know what it would take to repair this problem. Other than that, everything else works. Manuals, chargers, remotes, wide & tele lenses, filters included. no by-the-piece sale. Everything goes for one price - $300.00 + shipping. (about 20-25 lbs.) Need more info.? Contact me. to see picts.: www.memorymakerhotshots.com/denny/equipment.htm.
If anything, some of you DIY's might be able to adapt this housing to another cam.

I sent a PM a few days ago also. No reply yet.

I was able to find out a few things on my own

1) THis is the first housing that Ocean Images made. They still have some parts
for it available.

2) The Sony camera for which this housing was made has the lens possitioned on the left side and down low. Of course the housing has the port in the same location. Problem is that most new camera have the lens in some other possition and have the LCD pannel on the left.
another camera might fit or not. It depends on the exact measurements. You would need an LCD monitor to see what is being shot

3) Housing electronic may or may not work with newer camera. If not new controls electronic can (for a pricce) be retro-fitted

4) Sony TR81 can not be repaired for less then replacement cost
