What do I have to do to get on board? I respect the confederation and would like to get it ramped up here in the US. A little info would be great. Thanks.
The first thing to do would be to visit the CMAS AMERICAS website and then send us a copy of your certification, diving CV and contact information. We will be running programs in your area to bring folks on board in the near future.
Cheers,

I have a question on CMAS C-Card numbering. I made a google search and it says:
XXX/Y00/ZZ/99/888888
Where
XXX = Olympic acronym of the country of the federation or CDC
Y = F for Federation
O for CDC
00 = Code number given by C.M.A.S.
ZZ = Level of the card ( P1, P2, P3, P4, I1, I2, I3 )
99 = Year of issuance in two positions
888888 = Sequential number in 6 position mandatory yo initialise to 000001 ean year on January 1st
Are Federations empowered to have an option to slightly modify the course?
I mean here in the Philippines, they have split the 2 Star into 2 Star Advance Openwater and 2 Star Rescue Diver.
I haven't seen the 2 Star Rescue though but I will be taking it by next week.
Hi-
I am one dive short of my French Federation level 2 certification and wonder if I can do my missing (the 40 meter dive- have done all else including the rescue portions of the cert.) dive at a US CMAS center. I'll be in Puerto Rico next month and believe there are some CMAS centers there.
Thanks,
Maz1
