got myself a 2nd hand Bauer here

stamped on the block are KB 14874 & 8/1974/8

looks like a capitano

anyone have intel on this unit, and what service kits to get?

That would be a Utilus, Not to be confused with the Utilus 10. The filtration is most likely 6" long, carbon filled and made of plastic, which is screwed into the head of the final separator/filter housing. By today's standards, totally inadequate.

you are right on the 'filter'

I have a separate unit that will take over filtration.

It runs, build pressure, but too slow, and the 2nd stage is getting hot quite early.

I think a proper service is in order.
