Hi Guys,

Just wondering of someone is willing to help me out with this. I really want to build a nitrox analyser. A nitrox analyzer is a device which measure the level of oxygen in a scuba tank.

What it come down to is that we need to use an oxygen sensor like this onehttp://www.sensoronics.com/pdf/SS-12AIR.pdf

This sensor outputs a very low voltage depending on the measurement so I will probably need this ADS1115

Then adding an LCD to it for reading the output of the sensor.

Is anyone willing to take on this project? I know a bit of arduino, a bit of electronics but not enough to put it all together.

I found someone who build something similar http://racing.rougetide.com/2011/09/ard ... w=flipcard

thanks in advance

Geert

There is a great thread on this board but unfortunately the photographs are no longer with it but the description should be helpful.

If you do a Google search on the thread title and the authors board name you can find the photos on another diving board whose name I will not mention here.

The other thing required for this to work is some method (typically a potentiometer) for calibration. This is the hardest part of the code. You also need a few sources of a WELL verified gas mixes against which you can validate your hoememade sensor.

I know these oxycheq but its unbelievable expensive to get it to Belgium

Did you look at this like? http://dive.hemnet.com.au/projects/o2analyser/o2analyser.htm.

The sensor you linked http://www.sensoronics.com/pdf/SS-12AIR.pdf has very similar specs to the (the sensor you linked - 8.0 to 12.5 mV) (the sensor proposed in the project above 8.5-14 mv) (the oxycheq sensor 7 to 11 mv)

I would expect that most of the items in the linked project could be bought in Belgium. The panel meter can be bought of eBay from china, 1pc PM 128 PM128 3 1 2 Inch LCD Digital Panel Meter | eBay
