The company I work for has a niche in a small market for gas production systems. We often have to fit our equipment into available spacing, which requires a lot of custom work. Not only does the equipment have to function properly it must also be visually appealing. LOL This is the main portion of a nitrox production unit. The l.p. air supply unit is in a different location. The compressor is a custom vertical, using a Mariner II block that has been adapted for water cooling.
This particular unit has a 380v, 3 phase, 50Hz supply for the compressor and 220v, single phase, 50Hz for other components. There is a frequency drive that allows us to vary the compressor speed when pumping 32% or 36%. There is a cascade for 32% and 36% is direct filled (as per customers choice). The storage is 4500 psi bottles (444 cuft) set up in three banks. We rate the compressor out put at 7.5 scfm for 32% and 6 scfm for 36%. Shut down is set for 4500psi.
As far as price, let's just say it's pretty hefty and that is the reason why we have a small niche market. We have to jump through some serious hoops for compliance with that markets standards which has to be figured in to the mix.
