I have acquired a mako/bauer k14. From looking at some parts diagrams, there appears to be an oil filler in the center of the compressor with a upper part secured with 4 clips to the lower half. Inside there is no filter.
Can anyone tell me if this is just an oil filler or if it is also suppose to have an oil filter inside? If not, is there an oil filter somewhere else on the unit?
Thanks.

No oil filter on the K-14. The filler cap is in the center of the stand pipe. the remainder of the standpipe. The piece with the 4 clips is a baffle that directs crankcase air pressure to the intake of the first stage.
To add oil just grap the center cap and pull it off.
