    Cornelius 2.0 CFM 24 volt

I recently purchased two cornelius compressors (2.0 CFM) new in the box ( gov't original cost $10,140) with the intent to build an electric conversion kit. That would have been difficult and expensive. I decided to see what a 24 volt power supply would do with the units. I used 2 marine batteries connected in series to give 24 volts and the compressor ran well for about 16 minutes (at 3000PSI) then began to slow down considerably. I connected two 12 volt car battery chargers to see if this would extend the run time -- yes -- to 32 minutes. This is sufficient to fill an 80 from 500 to 3200 PSI .
The unit sitting on a wood base is 14 X 14 X 17 including the filter. The filter is a converted Hydraulic accumulator (I sell many of these for small units up to 4 CFM) with a moisture trap in the bottom and a re-packable cartridge in the top 2/3 capable of grade E air. It includes auto shut off switch and auto moisture drain on shutoff.
Unit comes with a fill whip ( line valve, 7500PSI gauge, bleed valve and scuba yoke or DIN connector.
Selling price is $1175 plus shipping. Pictures (3) of the unit and batteries are in my attachment file.
