Is anyone out there actually using one of these? With Cressi software? Or is this software also generic, as the overpriced interface kit is.
I know that the USB interface was advertised by some UK and German and Swiss shops some early in 2005, but wanted to give my LDS a chance. He hasn't been able to get it in over six months, and from what Scuba Toys says, Cressi, which was never as big in the North America as it is in Europe, may be in real trouble.
Rather like the computer though, and would like top keep using it.
I have the new archemedes II and interface. My LDS says they are in stock and had no problem getting me one. Cressi has been around for over fifty years so I don't think they are going the way of the dodo bird ( no disrepect to Larry ), yes it seems they started in Europe and are just really breaking through here. Just for s*&ts and giggles I heard that both Scubapro and Cressi shared the same regulator in the early days, a Cressi reg if I have it right. Maybe some one can shed some light on this.
