I have a Suunto Vyper and would very much like to download and play with my profiles.
I refuse to use microsoft products for any of my personal stuff so... Does anyone know if anything has been written to get a hold of the profiles in Linux?? I'd be happy with a hardware driver or an interface description... (I'll probably write the rest myself and would like to integrate it with a deco modeler... Which I guess I also may end up writing for the heck of it.)
You may want to try and see if WINE is compatible with the Suunto program - that'd make your life much easier.
The driver is just a standard serial driver from what I can see, and you might be able to (if you are really a masochist) sniff the serial port on a Win machine that's talking to your Vyper to see what info it sends back and forth, then start writing your prog from there.
The transfer proptocol is pretty simple. Send it a few characters and it sends you some data. I have written an interface for the Palm although this has only been tested with a Stinger.

Matt,
I have a portable Serial Communications Analyzer you can borrow if you want.
