Is the computer Interface for Aeris and Oceanic the same?
I just buy a Oceanic Geo computer and still want the USB connection cable. I used to see a topic talking about the computers these two companies made are the same. So just wonder if I buy the PC connection cable from Aeris, can it work on my Oceanic Geo computer? Ha ha, coz the price I saw for Aeris is a little bit cheap. Thank you for answering.

The USB download cables for the Aeris and the Oceanic are
slightly different. (Beyond the obvious exterior labels)
The components inside are all the same. The
difference is in the Vendor IDs stored in the internal chip.
It is possible to tell them apart in s/w drivers.
At least for now, the same USB driver is used for both
and will recognize either cable.
Right now, due to some equipment tradeouts my wife and
are are using an Oceanic USB cable on our Aeris AI computers.
Our Aeris download cable is USB. I bought the Aeris cable because it was cheaper than Oceanic and tested it on my husband's Pro+2 before plunking down the cash for another cable. I appreciate that I didn't have to buy 2 cables.
