    Hi all,

i watched discovery channel and noticed a special forces diver with a underwater navigation slate with compass, watch and depth gauge. Its a black board with two grips.

    Compass board

    You can find them at:

    http://www.rjeint.com/

RJE international makes them but they are a little expensive...

You can also cut one yourself from star-board ( plastic board ) and lace wrist mount compass and depth gauges as well as your watch ( used to log distance ) through the board.

The RJE unit comes with a nifty chemical light holder and the compass is hard mounted into the deck of the board.

    Look under Diving, navigation, Tac-board...

One our members (GBundersea GBUnderSea ) has an underwater slate (in two sizes) for sale. I picked one up, glued down a compass, and use u/w paper.

    Virtually any slate + Suunto SK-6 +

remove "back" of compass and strap, save 4 screws, drill 4 matching holes in slate of your choice, replace screws, Bingo - slate + compass.
