I was originally thinking of getting a AERIS AI with Q/D console on a hose, but the more I think about it the more I think I should going hoseless with one of the AERIS Wireless Computers. The prices have been coming down and I've spotted one on Leisure Pro's site for around $549 with a transmitter included. That is only $10 more than the AERIS AI.
I am looking for one of their models that is very easy to read and reliable and won't break the bank. Somewhere a good bit south of $1000 .
I plan on getting a drysuit with dry gloves so that may be an issue as far as wrist mounting is concerned. Or should I stay with the AERIS AI as my original choice since I've heard it might be difficult to mount a computer on the wrist with dry gloves on a drysuit.
Hi, I've have an Elite T3 wireless. Great computer. Some folks don't like wireless. I have been using them for 6+ years (also a Cochran Gem. 3). I like losing the HP hose. T3 is easy to read and layed out well. Plenty of strap on the T3 for Dry Suit and gloves, you can also get an Aeris retractor if you want the best of both worlds!

I agree that wrist mount is, for most divers, more convenient than console, so in that sense, the wireless one would be my choice. However, I'm not a big fan of AI, so I would suggest getting the atmos 2 and a XSscuba small brass SPG on a 24" hose, then spending the $200+ you'll save on something you really want, like towards a dive trip or something.
Sorry, I know that's not exactly what you were asking.
